The project focuses on developing a sustainable approach which seeks to create an innovative, hybrid architecture from a local palette of materials: concrete, indigenous timber, clay bricks and steel. It is being constructed by a majority of local, unskilled labour. Where local specialist skills have been available, these have been harnessed. Training of unskilled labour has been a critical part of shared learning and sustainability of this project.
